Cellphones are becoming as integral part of our lives. It’s not surprising that groundbreaking study published explains mobile technologies has definitely changed the way we work, love and live. Commissioned by Motorola company the new study takes behavioral researchers to 9 big cities around the world, from New York to London. By using a combination of personal interviews, the field studies, and observation, the study has identified a set of behaviors that reveal dramatic force of cellphones have on the way people interact.This study is found that cellphones give people a new personal power, enabling unprecedented mobility and enables them to conduct business on the road. Interesting enough, the gender differences can be found in the use of telephones. Women see their cellphones as a means of expression and social communication, while men tend to use it just as interactive toys. Some men view the cellphone as a status symbol – in competition with other men and most of them high-tech toys and even using cellphones to seduce the opposite sex. The study found the two types of cellphone users-”innite” who use their cellphones discreetly and “outies” which are stronger and less interested in the people around them.

Cellphones are often used by younger generation to send SMS by typing with their thumbs on the mobile phone’s keyboard. This has had profound effect on how teens use their thumb. Thumb skill has improved to such an extent that some teenagers and even point now ring door-bells with their thumb instead of their finger. The use of these two way text messaging devices also resulted in “the generation of the text,” a language of abbreviations which is understood by the youth of the world.

Water Powered CellPhones

Thank you marcosi that remind me in comment to Charge cellphone while you walking post about possibility using hydrogen for powered cellphones.

Today I want  to tell more about this technology. When metal and water react water molecules is cracking produced hydrogen gas. This proccess set in special fueling station and after inserted in metal-hydride container on cellphone. Molecules of hydrogen started pass through  membranes in fuel cell and electrons are stripped away and get diverted to run the cellphone.

There some various technologies for receive power form water. Fuel cells developed by Angstrom Power and Motorola cellphone company need the methanol to produced hydrogen. In fuel cells announced by Samsung gas reacts with the oxygen in air thus allow using only water for generate power. Samsung’s micro fuel cell can generate up to 3 watts of the electricity that enough to turn on cellphone.

Charge cellphone while you walking

Scientists have found that energy from movement of the knees has the potential to generate enough electricity from walking to charge your cellphone and created machine capturing knee brace cumulate new energy while you walk.

During the tests six volunteers wore this brace on their knees and walking by treadmill at 2.2 miles per hour. Each of them can produced about 5 watts of electrical power. That quantity of energy enough for run 10 cellphones simultaneously.

Report of this test reveals that in mode in which the capturing brace is only activated while the knee is braking, the subjects required less than 1 watt of extra metabolic power for each watt of electrical power they generated.

Director of the Locomotion Laboratory at Simon Fraser University in Canada Max Donelan said: “Since muscles are the powerhouses of the body, my colleagues and I designed our device to generate electricity from the motion of the knee joint. It resembles a knee brace and weighs about 1.5 kilograms [3.3 pounds] including the gearing and generator.”

AT&T offering SIM-only plan

AT&T telecommunication company offering a new SIM only plan in their on-line store. New customers may buy SIM cards on AT&T network for $10 or $5 if purchase this service online without getting new cellphone. You can choose from monthly pay and easy prepay GoPhone options and bring your phone number with you.

This means that now you can use AT&T SIM card with any GSM mobile phones as AT&T locked cell phones as unloked devices. But you still receive two year contract, except prepaid options. It’s look like AT&T is starting way to oppennes about company said lately but two-year contract …no thanks.

T-Mobile is an operator of mobile network and is a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. Its headquarters is in Bonn,Germany. It is owned by FreeMove Business Alliance. T-Mobile is a team of cell phone corporate subsidiaries that operate UMTS and GSM networks in the United States and Europe. The “T” denotes Telekom, it has considerable financial stakes in mobile operators in the Eastern part of Europe. On a global scale, T-Mobile has over a 100 million users, which makes it the sixth biggest cell phone service provider and the third biggest multinational company besides Vodafone and Telefonica.

T-Mobile has a significant presence in 11 European countries which are Croatia, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, United Kingdom, Germany Macedonia, the Netherlands, Poland and Montenegro. Attempts were made by the Deutche Telekom to buy out rival mobile network operator O2 which was finally bought by Telefonica.

T-Mobile are the kit sponsors for prime football clubs such as West Bromich Albion, Bayern Munich and Ferencvarosi. It also sponsors many sporting events like Bundesliga. T-Mobile is the biggest mobile operator with over 30 million users in Germany followed by Vodafone. In Germany the GSM network is complemented by UMTS, for which T-Mobile has shelled 8.2 billion pounds to acquire licences for Germany. Along with cell phone services, T-Mobile also provides WiFi hotspots in Europe and the United States. In United States it runs 8000 HotSpot locations for internet access including airports, hotels, coffeshops, clubs etc.

Recycle Your CellPhone

In recent years telecommunication industry experience strong growth all over the world. Every month telecom company released new models of mobile handsets and many people change cellphones several times a year. Therefore, the campaign for recycling used cellphones launching by CTIA is very important for educational purposes that would increase of mobile devices recycling and thus help protect the environment.

CTIA – the international association for the wireless telecommunications industry, representing carriers, manufacturers and wireless Internet providers commended U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and partnering companies for launching a new education campaign, “Recycle Your CellPhone. It’s An Easy Call.” This campaign aims to increase public awareness of cellphone recycling and donation opportunities, with the ultimate goal of increasing the nation’s cellphones recycling rate.

“Maintaining a successful national, consumer-friendly wireless recycling program has been a longstanding priority for the wireless industry,” said CTIA-The Wireless Association President and CEO, Steve Largent. “Any additional effort to raise public awareness and spotlight the important issue of wireless recycling is a good thing in my book. We welcome the new campaign and look forward to working with the EPA and partnering companies as we continue to spread the message about how easy it is to recycle cell phones”

The wireless industry launched a comprehensive, nationwide recycling campaign called “Wireless…The New Recyclable,” in 2003. The public outreach and awareness campaign provides wireless consumers with information about the importance of recycling wireless devices. The campaign has also focused on alerting consumers about how they can recycle their used devices. The centerpiece of the campaign has been the establishment of in-store phone take-back programs across the country that allow consumers to bring their used wireless devices and related accessories to carrier and other retail outlets for recycling.

TracFone is a cellular giant in the mobile industry and has attracted
more than 65,000 customers worldwide. TracFone
has its base in Miami,Florida. TracFone belongs to America Movil which
is the biggest mobile network operator in South America. TracFone is
headed by F.J.Pollak(President and the CEO). Previously known as Topp
telecomm the transition to TracFone took place on November 15th, 2000.

It takes pride in providing a vast and varied range in prepaid mobile
phones with pocket friendly plans. It offers its service to the United
States, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. It is the sixth largest cell
phone opearator
at present and it is the biggest mobile virtual
network operator(MVNO) with above 8 million users in the U.S market.
TracFone sells it products and services through website as well as
