I want to buy new phone for me and one of  the applicants is BlackBerry Curve 8310.

BlackBerry Curve 8310

Design of this handset unlike other BlackBerry’s phones have not business style that I like, it’s looking slim and stylish. 8310 have a full QWERTY keyboard, trackball and and large screen – 320×240 pixel resolution. This phone have 2.0 megapixel camera – it’s unusual for BlackBerry but this device targeting to consumers and offering other multimedia – advanced (next-gen) media player, a 3.5mm stereo audio jack, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo headsets and a microSD card slot. In standard you get only 64MB of Flash memory that too small for multimedia device so microSD card slot allow add 2 GB memory will very useful. Also of course as all smartphones this include email and text messaging, instant messaging, web browser services.

Curve 8310 media player allow playing video and music files, watching a news, sports and other clip with phone you receive Roxio Media Manager for quick CD ripping, converting and transferring music and video files.

Unlike older 8300 series to 8310 added GPS services support and map applications like BlackBerry maps and Telenav (applications depend of wireless contractor). GPS very useful think for me because help quickly find needed destinations in strange cities.

This handset can swank battery life – up to 4 hours talk time and around 2 weeks days standby time, not many smartpones can work still long time without recharge.

8310 not support 3G that can slowly work with maps and browsing but I not want using this device for permanent internet connection – only reading e-mail and news when not have access to PC. Maps for navigation I prefer load before travelling.

I find good offer for BlackBerry Curve 8310 and if you have any comments about this device, stay it there please.
